Our hostess kept in touch in English about our arrival time so we could get into the property with her help. She gave us a carpark pass to use in the public car park across the road. (Hint: It's on a oneway road so it's worth parking first and choosing a space near the road but furthest from the entrance so you are close to the pedestrian crossing.) Well, what a lovely place. Its quite clear that a great deal of creative thought has gone into the design of the room, which is beautiful, as well as the practicalities of using the space. How many bathrooms have somewhere to hang the towel when you want a shower? Or somewhere to put the spongebag? They have thought it all through and it really works. Brilliant. Clean, comfortable and a charming little outdoor seat to enjoy the sunset. We ate out in the evening but made our own breakfast for an early ferry from Puttgarden. There can be massive queues for the ferry but we saw none and despite a standard ticket got onto an earlier sailing to Denmark.
