My daughter and I were underway to visit relatives in the Czech Republic. To interrupt the long journey, we booked the accommodation in Bernried, Birketäcker. However, the accommodation far exceeded our expectation. So many excellent furnished rooms, the house itself, the beautiful scenery in Bayerischen Wald! We really regretted that we didn't have enough time to spend in this beautiful surrounding. Definitely next time!

Monica was so helpful, we were very late arriving, but she helped us get to our room. The hotel is beautiful, the room very clean, loads of hot water in the shower. Breakfast was delicious, huge selection, as much as you can eat.

I would estimate 10+ . The hosts are very friendly, they are always ready to help if you have any questions or difficulties. The the apartments´payment includes costs for the culture parks visits, which is very cheap as compared to the tickets bought directly at the parks. The rest is perfect for families with children and dogs. I am planning to come here on winter season with my family. Respekt zur bayerische Leuten :)

Gorgeous location and beautiful old renovated cabin with historic charm. We were lucky enough to have snow while we stayed and also a clear view of the alps in the distance. A magical spot so close to many attractions and day trips within a short drive. Perfect spot for walking and relaxing :) the host was quick to respond and very friendly!

    It is a remote but very charming location that we chose to stop at for a long trip. We came when there was no one to greet us and as it was raining, it was like we entered a Scooby doo episode. It is a very interesting place! The staff was very friendly and the breakfast had a lot of options. Would recommend!

    The location itself was magnificent, our two girls loved the fact they could spend the night in an actual real life castle. The fact that it was in halloween seasons made it all the better. After a nice breakfast we visited the castle which can be seen from the two story room we had. The (fairly affordable, and discounted) tour of the castle grounds was very informative and amusing.
