On a family farm this was a lovely cabin. Spacious room with a good sized comfortable bed and nice bathroom. They have a lovely decking area at the front to watch the birds. There is no noise at night. The family made us very welcome. The cabin is on the road to the national park and very close to La Leona waterfall, a very popular tourist attraction. It is ideal for visits to both, but especially the National park, Rincon de La Vieja .

Everything! First of all, the reception such friendly, nice people. Helped me with everything about the area and what to do, especially since people don’t speak English in Liberia. The property was really nice, had an awesome outdoor area. Lots of places to relax. Kitchen was big and had everything you needed. Room had air conditioning and was so nice and cold when we went into the room to escape the heat. Sheets and towels were nice and clean, lots of bathrooms nearby to use and good condition. If I go back I would definitely stay again!

Malekus Mountain Lodge is a beautiful property. The Lodge is the perfect base for hiking the local parks, and the breakfasts are varied & delicious. Great food, amazing views and hiking trails in the jungle. Definitely the best chocolate in Costa Rica! Pablo and Anna are knowledgeable and wonderful hosts. The views and the chocolate tour experiences are the best parts about a stay at La Anita.
