My partner and I went to Costa Rica mostly to surf but decided to stop by lake arenal on the way back to San Jose and we are so grateful we did! This lodge and the majestic ceiba tree that it overlooks are magical. The entire property is thriving with wildlife. Sergio, the owner, is so welcoming and knowledgeable about the local ecosystem. Breakfast is also to die for—both the food and the view are top notch.

Every morning, we were treated to a delicious homemade feast with fresh, high-quality ingredients. From perfectly cooked eggs and crispy bacon to fresh tropical fruit, homemade banana bread and the best locally sourced coffee, each meal was a delightful way to start the day. Their warm and welcoming nature made the experience even more special, making us feel right at home. Beautiful cosy house with spectacular view!!! Well equipped kitchen, lovely swimming pool, wonderful garden, but above all - a very helpful and kind family owners!! The house is located at the end of the beautiful Cabanga village, with view to the Tenorio volcano. We stayd only 3 nights, but felt like we're at home!!

Everything , the apartment , the cleaning and decoration including the fresh flowers they put, the location , the landscape specially the view over the lake , breakfast on the social club , Cris and Maricel were amazing hosts friendly and helpful all the time. The property is much better than on the pictures.
