This hostel was a very good one. I think they have made some improvements in the last couple of years. There was an AC in my room and no bugs or mosquitos at all inside. The bed was comfortable and the room was very big. I think the value of the room and quality was perfectly in balance. The hammock outside was my favourite. I could see parrots, toucans, iguanas and capouchin monkeys straight from the comfort of my hammock. Awesome! And also: everyone in the staff were very helpful. They even held my luggage during my trip to Corcovado. Muchas gracias! I would definitely stay again.

We stayed in the Bungalow and it was amazing. It had everything we needed for a great base for our adventures throughout Drake Bay! Beds were comfy and the place was very clean and with thoughtful welcoming touches. The family that owns and operates Casa Horizontes were lovely and helpful and go above and beyond. Highly recommend!

We took some break from Van Life and this was perfect since you can either camp or have an AC Room. We had the AC Room. WIFI like everywhere, is via Starlink and it works well. We enjoyed the stay 🙂

We can conclude that this was our most amazing stay during our 3-week holiday. It was a gorgeous place: great rooms, amazing views, excellent food, and above all very friendly owners (and their cute dogs) that treat you like friends and were always ready to help with stuff. Drake Bay is a remote yet breathtaking destination, and our stay at Natural Drake Bay Hotel made our visit truly unforgettable. We spent four nights here as the final leg of our Costa Rica trip, hoping to find a comfortable place that would enhance our experience of this faraway corner of the world. I’m thrilled to say we couldn’t have chosen a better place. Natural Drake Bay is a family-run hotel situated in a stunning location, perched perfectly to offer beautiful views of the bay. Both the pool and restaurant offer stunning views of the bay, creating a mesmerizing scene —at one point, we even saw whales jumping from the water! The beach is also just a 3 minute walk. Patricia, Daniel, and their team, particularly Victor, provide a luxurious experience. Throughout our stay, we felt very well cared for. Everyday, when you arrive, Patricia welcomes you with refreshing, beautifully scented cold towels, which is a wonderful treat after a hot day. Victor then serves the most exquisite fruit juices I’ve ever tasted. Even when activities (Corcovado Park visit, Snorkeling in Caño Island, ….) started at the crack of dawn, they were there to prepare breakfast for you The hotel takes great pride in highlighting local cuisine at dinner, with top quality produce exquisitely cooked. The rooms offer views of the surroundings, which were full of life (Birds, Iguanas, Monkeys) and relaxing in the hammocks was a spectacle in itself. Toucans would perch in the tree next to the cabin, while showering. The toiletries were of high quality, adding to the overall sense of luxury. In summary, Natural Drake Bay Hotel provided us with an exceptional experience, combining comfort, natural beauty, and warm hospitality.

    A very nice place with a beautiful view from the common space. The rooms are very well kept and very clean. The Cabinas Pura Vida are located like 15 min walking from the port, but the owner picked us up once we arrived there and then dropped us off while we were leaving Drake Bay. This location also means it is a bit further from the city noise. He was also very flexible with breakfast as we needed to catch the boat at 6, he prepared us breakfast at 5:20 in the morning.

    Fantastic! We got the basic room but it was very clean, spacious, with new and refreshing fans, fast wifi, and a nice hammock with chairs in the small patio outside. It was also cheaper than other options we tried in Drake Bay, which offered worse quality.
