The room was great, very clean, and spacious enough for our needs. Great to always be supplied with plenty of bottled water. Having a laundry room (and also the possibility to leave the laundry to be done by the staff) was great. I loved the delivery robot as well, it made for an extremely fun experience. The hotel is very close to the terminal station of metro line 1, which offers great connections to a lot of interesting areas in the city, including the centre. There's also a direct bus line to the Shanghai Zoo, which is great. I will definitely look into booking here again when returning to Shanghai.

The stay was incredibly calming and soothing—it felt like a true retreat, leaving me completely relaxed. First of all, t h e breakfasts. I wrote to SSAW before visit to mention we're vegetarians - as I know it may be difficult in China. The breakfasts were perfectly adjusted, giving a wide range of options and very delicious ones. Everyday was a better one because of them. Besides that; the hotel staff is kind and helpful, and they mostly speak basic English. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The cleaning service was ok, they've made a bed and fullfilled the bathroom's accessories. Everyday, there were bottles of water waiting in our room. We could use the lundary room for free. Location was good - close to the metro and convinient stores. I liked the traditional atmosphere and decorations in the hotel. It's small and private. Such a nice steppingstone from those huge ones in China. I recommend this hotel a lot!
