What a nice place, and greatttt food! Such a good feeling to come back after a long day monasteries, to get to a full packed table with all local made food, with great people! An excellent choice for being close to Haghpat Monastery and viewing beautiful Debed Canyon. Our hosts, Mary and her family were such beautiful and kind helpful people. Lovely clean and comfortable room with air conditioning and a great shower. We spent 3 nights here and it was a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying walks and soaking up the wonderful vibe and scenery early morning and early evening when it was quiet and the gorgeous sunsets were spectacular. The cooking was exceptional. We ate breakfast and dinner at the tavern and Mary our host provided us with delicious home made butter, jams, cheeses, honey and various home cooked meals which were fine examples of beautiful Armenian cuisine. Mary speaks excellent English so was easily able to help us with any queries. I highly recommend Haghpat Hotel.

Mary and her family were the kindest and most welcoming hosts we could wish for. Right upon our arrival they offered us tea and refreshments and gave us various tips on what to see in the area.Their homemade dinners and breakfasts (served at a terrace with wonderful views) are huge and simply delicious, absolutely perfect after a whole day spent in the mountains around Haghpat. The room itself is very light and spacious, located in a house in the middle of a rural vegetable garden a few hundred meters from the monastery. In spite of our very poor knowledge of Russian, Mary's parents were always very friendly and open to talk with and fully accommodated all our wishes. We'll be very happy to come again if ever back in Armenia. Thank you! <3

Comfortable room with a nice big terrace. But what was really great about our stay was Mary herself and also her mom. They prepared amazing breakfast for us, we had pleasant conversations and learnt a lot about Armenia. Mary welcomed us as if we were family friends and took care that we felt at home. Super host!
