Without a doubt the best experience we had in Albania. Like getting a super sweet albanian family for a couple of days. The room is very nice and the view is beathtaking. Would recpmmend this to anyone. (sidenote: the mother in the house could open a fancy restaurant with her amazing cooking skills. 10/10)

This has got to be one of the best places we have ever stayed! The view is worth every second of the drive up the mountain. Rooms were large, bright and clean. Thanasis, the host is warm and welcoming. We enjoyed watching the sunset over the mountains with him while sharing a beer and learning about the history of the property over google translate.

A truly unforgettable stay! My husband and I had an amazing time during our stay. We enjoyed absolute peace and quiet, surrounded by endless greenery and right next to a historic site. The food, prepared by Gero, was absolutely delicious from traditional local dishes to his authentic pizzas, everything was full of flavor and made with care. But what truly made our experience special was the incredible team. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and we definitely made new friends. A special mention goes to Agush ,unbelievably funny, full of energy, and truly the heart and soul of the hotel. He will forever have a special place in our hearts. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Run by the very friendly and hospitable Saimir, he always made sure I had my every need catered for. Provided a beautiful guest house just a couple minutes walk from the centre of Libohovë with a great view from the front deck. Very knowledgeable about the local history and gave me a tour free of charge around the town. Also gave me a number of fresh foods for breakfast such as local bread and an assortment of fruit, nuts, milk, eggs and jam all made from home. It was a perfect escape from the busier, more touristy towns and cities nearby, and recommend to anyone in the Gjirokaster area.

I had a wonderful experience at Bujtina Sophie! The rooms were exceptionally clean, very comfortable, and the the view was incredible. Travellers have places, moments, landscapes and, above all, people that you will always carry with you. In Vila Shametaj all of them are fulfilled. Lona, the location of the village and the Girokastra valley combine to form an explosive cocktail. We enjoyed our stay in the impeccable rooms, the breakfasts on the terrace are like a movie, and the owner is incredibly sweet. I will be back Lona.
