The farm is beautiful, rooms enormous, and we loved meeting the dog (Brina), several cats, and various chickens. Seruga has really friendly, hard-working multilingual staff who seem to be all, or mostly, family members, and they remembered lots of details about guests dietary preferences and needs when it came to preparing meals. Eva also drove us to the bus stop at the end to save us walking in the heat (though it isn't very far). We really did feel as if we were staying with friends rather than at a hotel! We enjoyed the hikes locally to Trska Gora, Novo Mesto and Otocec, and also took buses to Brezice and Kostanjevica (proving that a trip to Seruga is completely possible without a car). We had two wonderful dinners in the farm, and walked on the the other evenings to local restaurants - a big advantage of Seruga is that unlike many farms it isn't isolated if you don't have a car, and there are other facilities nearby.
