The property is non-smoking and is located 200 metres from Kaka Point Beach. Wonderful location. Unit is even better than the listing, We will spend more time there in future visits. Best "home base" for visiting the Catlins we have found. ( have been visiting South Island since 1988) Excellent value!

If I could, I would definitely stay longer.

Boasting garden views, waikawa house offers accommodation with a garden, barbecue facilities and a shared lounge, around 3 km from Curio Bay Beach. This holiday home provides free private parking and a shared kitchen. The house is beautiful, warm and very comfortable. There are two bedrooms with double beds, a room with double bunks and a sofa bed in the living room. The layout of the house is so good, and a huge bonus was a lockup garage. The kitchen was extremely well equiped plus there is a laundry with washing machine and dryer. The air-conditioning was very much appreciated as it was freezing, raining and hailing most of the day. Be sure to get supplies along the way as there really isn't any shopping in and around the area, though there are some cafes.

The accommodations were delightful and the location was ideal. The room was quite spacious and Michael was exceptionally hospitable.
