I keep coming back when I'm in Kathmandu because it's the best place for me. Quiet, friendly, great location, great food/advice/friendliness.

Housed in a building dating from 2022, this homestay is 3 km from Swayambhunath Temple and 4.1 km from Kathmandu Durbar Square. The accommodation features a shared kitchen, private check-in and check-out and currency exchange for guests. The hosts were exceptionally nice, the homestay set up allows for a more family-style and local experience, a little bit outside of the main tourist spots like Thamel, but still well situated, the price point was excellent. We had a great stay :)

Charming, quiet, cozy oasis in a great location for Kathmandu visitors. Lovely and very helpful owners who live on premises.

It is set 300 metres from Bhaktapur Durbar Square and offers a 24-hour front desk. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. Best location in Bhaktapur, right amongst the thick of it. Nice and quiet too though. Lovely staff, good food, nice rooftop views!

I stayed in Nirvana Kuti following the recommendation of Linda, a wonderful woman that I met in Delhi airport. She was indeed accurate: Nirvana Kuti is such a beautiful accomodation, comfortable, clean and pretty new. It was easy to feel home. Besides the comfort of the room, with a big, warm bed, with views to the temple just in front of the house, it is located just a few steps from Durbar square, in a very calm street. I slept extremely well and woke up to the beautiful views. Life is magical and I met Bobby, the owner of Nirvana Kuti, even before my stay. He kindly offered me a ride to Nirvana Kuti, and he made it very easy for me to feel home. Even more, he also allowed me to stay a bit longer because my bus was leaving in the evening. I appreciate Bobby's kindness and the beautiful taste in which the house is built. It is both comfortable and stylish, and the location couldn't be better. Thank you Bobby for making of my last days in Kathmandu (for this time) a beautiful experience and see you next time ♡

He personally guides his guests, free of charge, through the winding alleys of the historic city, revealing the hidden gems of the area and introducing them to local delicacies. His guesthouse also has a welcoming atmosphere that truly feels like home. In the evenings, the living room transforms into a gathering spot where travelers from all over connect and share stories. If you’re traveling alone or want to experience Bhaktapur from a local’s perspective, Shekhar’s Shared Home is the perfect place.

It is set 200 metres from Kathmandu Durbar Square and features private check-in and check-out. When staying at the apartment, guests can use private entrance. I had a wonderful stay at this studio apartment. The location is fantastic, situated in a bustling area with restaurants, shops, and public transport all just a short walk away, making it incredibly convenient. The check-in process was seamless, and the host was exceptionally humble and kind. They went out of their way to accommodate an early check-in, which was much appreciated. The apartment itself was well-organized, clean, and equipped with all the necessary appliances, making it feel like a home away from home. Everything was spotless, and the bed was very comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The apartment is located in a lively area, and while there’s some ambient noise, it was minimal and didn’t disrupt my stay. Overall, this studio offers excellent value for money. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and welcoming place to stay, and I would definitely stay here again!
