The view was absolutely fantastic and a joy to wake up to every morning. The house was in a lovely secluded position on the hillside and so well equipped from a fridge freezer, great coffee machine, excellent Wifi and so much more. The owner was so responsive by text and the lovely Melissa was on hand if I needed anything. She also cooked me the best meal I had on the island. There was a great little shop down the road and excellent local restaurant with a bus stop at the end of the track to get into town or to the beach or It was a 15 minute if you fancied the walk to Mourouk beach. I was a solo female traveller and felt very safe. I cannot wait to go back and can’t recommend this place enough, especially if you are wanting to experience a beautiful authentic island off the beaten track. This accommodation offers it all. The accommodation is very well equipped, we felt at home here. John gave us advice and help us for our stay. It’s very well located and gives you a beautiful view of Rodrigue lagoon.

The place was cozy, beautiful, simple, and very charming. We were surprised by a very warm welcome, and the morning delivery of fresh baguette and pies which was unexpected and a wonderful treat. The location is perfect. We will return for sure!

Great place with very nice view of the sea and nature, in a quiet location. The house is well equipped with everything needed for short/long stays, and it's very clean and modern. Jeanette and Phil were very welcoming, and we felt at home since we arrived. Port Sud can be reached by foot, as there's a direct trail towards it (not showing on Google Maps)

Wonderful place and very kind family. The breakfast and dinner were quite good, and they are very accommodating to dietary restrictions. The facilities were as described; it was overall clean and had a beautiful view of the surrounding forest/ocean. The location is also ideal for kitesurfing and diving in Mourouk. I highly recommend this stay for other travelers who are looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation :)
