Beautiful location next to a river with lots of wildlife around. Beautiful grounds to walk alround with lots of interesting statues etc .Lovely clean pool and great food. The owners were friendly and helpful. Pool surrounded by coconut trees and you can watch as the fearless coconut man climbs a tree and shimmies across the ropes from one tree to another placing pots to collect the toddy. We were given drinks to try .. delicious the food was good too especially the coconut honey . Great place to relax away from everything . The cabin was huge with seating area inside and outside to watch the squirrels running around .

Very quiet relaxing spot with well designed units. The service and food were excellent. An enjoyable 15 minute bicycle (they are free) ride to Elements Resort on the beach. The owner Anushka is a wealth of knowledge and was able to organize dolphin watching and onward travel for a reasonable price.

There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. Greeted by super friendly staff. Rooms are great. Our tree house was right next to a monkey family’s tree house ;-) we walked around the lodge, had amazing three course dinner, went on a late night river boat safari, and a half day morning safari. Spotted crocs, elephants, saw fresh leopard footprints (couldn’t spot the cat, however she was definitely there), so many different birds, monkeys. Had breakfast from the provided basket and lunch when we arrived back at the lodge. The location is great, on the river, close to the Wilpattu entrance. We stayed one night but can recommend staying two.

The food was simply outstanding—authentic Sri Lankan cuisine at its finest! Both breakfast and dinner were full of flavour, freshly prepared, and truly showcased the best of local dishes. The accommodation was comfortable, well-equipped, and immersed in nature. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle, surrounded by monkeys and wildlife, was an unforgettable experience. It felt like a true escape into the heart of Sri Lanka’s wilderness. What truly made our stay so special was the wonderful staff and the incredibly kind owner, who went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible. Their passion for hospitality and wildlife made us feel right at home. And last but not least—the absolute star of our stay was Duan, the owner’s young puppy. He is, without a doubt, the most adorable and charming little dog we’ve ever met! If you’re looking for an unforgettable adventure, breathtaking nature, and top-tier hospitality, Wild Wadi Wilpattu is the place to be! We can’t wait to return.
