The shared kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of utensils to use and enough space to enjoy a cozy meal. There’s even a kotatsu! We also messaged them after booking to ask whether the room was mixed or female-only, as we were a bit concerned. We received a very quick response reassuring us that there was no need to worry and that a female-only room would be prepared for us. The owner is super friendly, and her positive energy is contagious. :) Since it’s located in an onsen town, there are plenty of opportunities to relax after a day of exploring. Helpful, friendly staff and a nice common room to meet other guests. I've stayed in a lot of hostels and this is was perhaps my favourite ever in terms of comfort.
