They receive lots of international travelers and they understand tourists needs. You MUST book dinners and breakfasts with them! It was amazing experience! On a practical note: rooms were authentic, hot water, heater were reliable. Location is superb, close to the temple and delicious snacks. This place is ideal for alternative travelers interested in local tradition and with the appreciation for culture and history: I wish the owners only the best customers!

We also messaged them after booking to ask whether the room was mixed or female-only, as we were a bit concerned. We received a very quick response reassuring us that there was no need to worry and that a female-only room would be prepared for us. The owner is super friendly, and her positive energy is contagious. :) Since it’s located in an onsen town, there are plenty of opportunities to relax after a day of exploring.
