Cleanliness, amazing view of Mount Fuji, staff were friendly. Bedding was comfy and clean. Everything felt like it was organized smoothly. Not cheap for the tent but understand it is peak season.

At first I was slightly uneased by the price of the night for 3 people, but after experiencing the onsen, the amazing dinner, and exceptional breakfast combined with top notch staff, I must say, the price is very well worth it. Food was superb, and the quality of the onsen was unbelievable - rivaling that of Beppu onsens known through Japan. Not to mention the exceptional accessibility options should the guest be differently abled - 2 very wide elevators, appropriately sloped ground, no bumps going through the rooms.

Takayama Old Town and Miyagawa Morning Market are a 10-minute walk, while Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village is a 10-minute drive away from Guest House Ouka. The property is a 8-minute walk from Takayama Nohi Bus Centre, where guests can take a bus to Shirakawa Village. Very big room - could fit all of us, don't have any idea why we booked 2 rooms, we could easily book just one, and sleep two on the beds and two on the tatami.

Amazing view from the hotel and staff we very nice and helpful. Masks at the hotel were delicious and everything was clean and organized. The hotel also provided transportation to and from the train station. Location was convenient and right at a bus stop.

The warm ambiance is further enhanced by local artists' paintings adorning the walls. The lodging was excellent with the ultimate Japanese experience. The room had every immensity possible and the bed was really comfortable. We would differently stay here again.
