The husband helped me to obtain a ride back to Siliguri. The view from the balcony of the mountains and valley were exceptional.

I chose to stay at the Bloomfield Farmhouse based on the reviews, it exceeded my expectations...and they were so right. The peaceful setting was just what I was looking for. Nightly bonfires, great food and incredible staff quickly moved it to the best place I have stayed during my travels in India. I definitely will come back

Lakeside Suites tiene hospedaje climatizado para huéspedes en Calcuta, a 3.4 km de Kalighat Kali Temple, a 5.3 km de Indian Museum y a 5.8 km de Nandan. This is a great place to stay. The rooms are very clean, pleasant and quite. The bathroom is large enough, duly clean; there is hot water. The bed is large and confortable. On each floor there is a large shared hall with a big sofa and table, as well as a well-equipped shared kitchen (with fridge, microwave oven etc.). The owner is extremely kind and helpful, the staff is very good. For breakfast you can choose between toast with butter and jam and Indian-style breakfast. There is a laundry service; you can also have some pages printed, if needed. The building is conveniently located near to beautiful Rabindra Sarobar park (to the west) and Golpark (to the north); Golpark is a nice area with lot of cafes and shops, where you can find almost everything, from SIM cards to real Darjeeling tea; there is also a Post Office. Last but not least: Uber taxi drivers easily find Lakeside Suites, and if you don’t want to use Uber, there are almost always taxis on the street in front of the entrance.

Madhabi´s food was incredible. She attended all my requirements. Also, when I was ill she bought medicines for me. I felt like at home. Also, the house is very nice, with a beautiful garden and balconies.

Dey Niwas is unbeatable value for the price you pay. It's also very homely and perfect for relaxing. The apartment has more than enough to allow you to be self-sufficient. This includes a refrigerator, washing machine, microwave, hot pan and cutlery. There's a separate dining room, kitchen and toilet/shower. Lots of room and lots of rooms! The bedroom has a big comfortable double bed with a writing desk and a sofa. The A/C works well. I particularly liked the blackout in the night. Wooden shutters with curtains keep it dark in the morning and the small side road is very quiet, all of which allowed me to sleep peacefully. What's noticeable is how clean the entire apartment is. Everything also functions (e.g. no dripping taps) and looks new. I appreciated the large amount of sockets in all rooms, the water purifier and plenty of liquid soap, shower gel and toilet paper. All these amenities made it seem like I was staying in someone's well-kept home. The apartment is a few minutes’ walk away from many small shops, groceries and a street market selling fruit and vegetables. It's also ideally located to get to the airport quickly.  The owner, Kajal, was very helpful, making sure I found the location and booking tempos and taxis for me, even coming out to check my transport had arrived. I think Dey Niwas is an amazing place to stay and the owner's kindness helped make my travels a success. I highly recommend it.
