We’ve been travelling for a few weeks now and stayed in some really good places. But none of them have had everything on point - which this place have. Like not to an excessive degree. It’s just, for the amount of money you pay, it’s just worth as high a score as there is. And to give two examples of how forthcoming this place is: 1) we stayed an extra night at our previous location due to a storm, missing a night here - no need to pay for that; 2) we took the sunrise tour to Tikal, was able to still get the free breakfast when we came back AND could use all the facilities until our bus left in the evening. We were literally surprised several times of how much this place exceeded expectations.

The owners are incredibly warm and hospitable - they even went the extra mile to boil some water for us in their own kitchen when we needed it. The room is equipped with air conditioning, a toaster, and a coffee maker with a filter. It has its own separate entrance, which allowed us to come and go freely. We highly recommend this accommodation. Right across the street, there is a volunteer house that is spearheading some really exciting community development projects with the El Remate locals, especially the children.

The pool is really appreciated with the heat and the hammock as well. Also the man who was present in the hotel was super helpful and really nice, he made our stay amazing a big thank you to him.
