Situated in New Galloway, in a historic building, 39 km from Rockcliffe, Cozy 2 bedroom cottage with log burner close to Loch Ken is a holiday home with a garden and barbecue facilities. The host was delightful, and gave us some great tips on where to eat. ( Try the Thistle Inn, we had a marvelous evening there.) The caramel slice that was left for us was divine. The bed was so comfortable that we slept late on our first morning. The whole house was immaculately clean, and very comfortable. It has a bath, which is always a bonus in my opinion. There are some adorable sheep and goats right outside the back gate waiting to talk to you. The location is fantastic, incredibly beautiful and peaceful. We had a wonderful time exploring the forest and surrounding areas. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property, and we hope we get the chance to return one day.

We got very lucky with the weather so made good use of the BBQ on our first night and sat outside for our evening meals. The hot tub was so relaxing, especially at night whilst watching the stars. We bought some tasty homemade jam and BBQ starter pack from the cute little pod shop. Hosts also arranged our early check in and left us firewood. We liked that the garden around the pods were enclosed as meant we could let our dog wander around without worrying he could get out. The location was perfect, lots of lovely walks nearby and close to a beach. We would love to return one day and highly recommend!
