Grindelwald is an amazing beautiful town and the people there are very polite and nice, if you ask for assistance they would not say no to you at all. So calm and relaxing. The mountains and the views can’t be discribed. The hotel is so beautiful so cozy and nice, the view from the porch is like you are looking at piece of art. The staff of the hotel were so nice and helpful, especially the lady who stays at evening. The breakfast is simple and good.

The breakfast spread was beautiful and delicious. We shared the table with two other guests and had lovely conversation over options like granola, yogurt, fruit, bread, and a selection of cheeses. The host has a beautiful bathroom (not attached to the room) with a jacuzzi tub that was most welcomed after four days of skiing in the Alps. The host does not speak any English so we were challenged to reactivate our high school French. She is so outgoing and patient in her communication that it was delightful to try to figure out what she was telling us and we never felt like we didn’t understand her recommendations, offerings, or expectations. Highly recommended!

Public transport is about 800 meters (.5 mile from the location) or it’s a beautiful mile stroll/bike into the old town. I stayed in the loft space and I’m on my way to Amsterdam so it felt like I was getting practice on the way their lol Cute little kitchen, bathroom, living room and a reading nook in the loft space with the comfiest chair, had an awesome sleep in a comfy bed. Then finished off my stay by having an espresso In the cute kitchen before departing.

The apartment is very comfortable and cozy. It has everything you need, especially in the kitchen—lovely dishes and all the essentials for cooking (we were particularly pleased to find spices, which are rarely provided). The beds are comfortable, and the view from the window is absolutely stunning. There’s a pleasant, gentle sound of the nearby river. Everything is thoughtfully arranged with great care for the guests! We will definitely choose this apartment again when we return to this wonderful location.
