If your journey takes you to Banaue Homestay, you're in for a treat—mostly thanks to the incredible Beatriz. Honestly, we've rarely met someone with such an infectious energy on our travels! Beatriz didn’t just host us—she orchestrated an amazing itinerary for our four-day stay in Banaue and the surrounding area. Her cooking? Absolutely delicious, especially the curry dishes (we may or may not have considered smuggling some home). The room and bathroom were spotless, the beds wonderfully comfortable, but the real highlight? Her laughter—so contagious it could probably cure a bad mood in seconds. Property is in amazing place - you can face the main Batad’s rice terrasses from Rita’s Inn place. But the main thing - that after spending 2nights there - you start to feel like at home. Germina ( Rita’s daughter) who is actually running the place - is making fantastic home made food, arraning guides, massages. So my suggestion - go there for 2 or 3 nights, enjoy the place , take the tours with a guides and enjoy massage in the evening. Everything with affordable price and you get not just a service , but a community and family feeling. And talk with Germina’s father Romeo - He is the star of Lonely Planet book and really amazing old man (Happiest man on earth that I have met). Go to this place and you will not be dissapointed, but only really loved!

The Rice Homestay is a very charming place to stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A bus pick-up and drop-off service was offered. I also booked excursions; the rice terraces are uniquely beautiful. The food was extremely tasty and fresh. The room was above average in size and clean. I extended my stay by one night. I can only recommend the accommodation. I felt very comfortable

The accommodation has all the essentials that you need, and the host is extremely kind and helpful (and the food there is great). They let us try on some of the local clothes during our stay, and arranged a tour of the rice fields too. Beautiful location, with a rooftop terrace. The terrace has a beautiful lookout over the local scenery (& all the areas you'll be hiking). Would recommend.

The hotel staff was very enthusiastic in telling us stories about the Philippines and the rice terraces from the past to the present, which raised my resolution about the Philippines and its World Heritage sites, and I had a wonderful few days. They are always on standby in the morning and at night to cook for me!
