We had a wonderful stay here. The kitchen is fully equipped, everything you could need, and the place was full of little extra-touches that made it an exceptional visit. The owner was extremely helpful. Great location if you want to be away from town, very quiet.

This place is a secret hidden gem. You are in the heart of Whangarei for one. Across the water is everything. Fast food. Supermarket. Restaurants. Bars. It’s all within walking distance. Being late we drove, and again, it’s minutes away. This place has character and charm. It’s the place you dream of retiring in. Passing through whangarei, we only stayed the night and this location was more a novelty choice by my fishing enthused husband. We loved it. If you need spotless, white, and sterile, go somewhere else. This place is normal. Natural. Comfortable. The cupboards have most needs met. Cutlery, plates, glasses. Hairdryer. Iron. There’s spare towels. Fan if you need cold and an oil fin heater if you need warm. There’s a dining table outside the bedroom. And one in it. There’s a functional kitchenette, with tea, coffee, etc. Take your own milk if you take milk. I would highly recommend this place as a bucket list tick. It’s unique.
