Spacious and clean room. Our room was number 8. Upstairs and no neighbor it was quiet and surrounded by greenery. There were 2 friendly dogs there. They are sweet dogs.

The host Claudia is very welcoming and helpful. She has good information and has provided a number of excellent recommendations. The location is good and we caught an Uber once we were tired of walking. Nuik Casa is an authentic, homely haven with only 6-7 rooms which all open to the garden & pool. Everyday, we started with breakfast & a swim. The gardens are lovely and their is beauty everywhere. Mucho Gracias Claudia.

Great stay at Casa Akbal! Nice hosts, having lots of tips of what to see and how to get there. They also greatly helped me out when I nearly missed my tour. Wifi works good, airco works good, which is a must with 30+ celsius. The location is close to the centre and relatively close to paseo montejo. From merida you can take buses (or guided tours) to progreso, chichen itza and - if you are adventurous - uxmal. Thank you! I really enjoyed my stay.

First of all the hospitality. Host Juan and the two ladies treat you as guests at their home and put every effort in to make you feel welcome. Juan knows a lot about the area and if you have any special requests you can ask him. Even weird questions like “I like this house number, do you know where I can buy tiles like these?” Everything is beautifully decorated and your eyes never get bored. There is always a new clever design to discover. Look for the details in the bathroom and the colours used (room 4).
