A former colonial home with wonderful gardens full of flowers, huge balconies overlooking them, modern colonial style rooms with 4 poster beds, delightful, attentive staff and an amazing cook serving Sri Lancan and world classic dishes with flair. It’s a unique property, just few steps away from all the buzz. Cabana is truly amazing, every little detail is thought through. Gorgeous bathroom, with bathtub overlooking the little town and the mountains. Facilities- top class! Better than some 5* Hotels. But all of that would be nothing, without amazing Host, who met us with a biggest smile and was there every time we needed something. Food set up, quality is out of this world. Malinda, keep up good work! And we hope to see you soon.

It was clean and had great facilities. The owner was very welcoming and flexible with our check-in, as we arrived at 11 PM instead of 9:30 PM. He made sure we were comfortable and provided recommendations for things to do in the area.

Very relaxing and with a very nice view. We slept soo well in this place and the food and breakfast they made for us was so nice. Watching the clouds touch the mountain infront of us and the rain hitting the cieling while we were warm in bed was soo cozy and nice! :)

We stayed just one night at Carnation Rest in Nuwara Eliya and it was a truly wonderful experience. The property, surrounded by beautiful, well-kept plants, feels like a mountain chalet: unique and charming for its atmosphere. Since this is a cooler area of Sri Lanka, the property offers all the comforts to best enjoy the lower temperatures. We were welcomed with excellent tea and biscuits, and the morning breakfast was absolutely delicious. The staff, very kind, also recommended a restaurant that turned out to be an excellent choice. A wonderful place, with a unique and evocative atmosphere, that is definitely worth experiencing.
