David and the fam made me feel so welcome and at home and we did so many awesome things together! Went to the beautiful gorge, a rooftopbar with view on Kili, masai Deco women, soccer with the kids and a hike around to the border where we had Tanzanian beer. David helped me with a new sim , a safari to amboseli which is close by and so so beautiful, i couldn't be happier. Also I felt free enough to do my own thing in and around the house, even stayed in bed when i was ill for half a day. From the garden you can see Kili, depending on the weather and David's dad, Peter, gave me a tour around the garden to show all the veggies and fruits they grow themselves. Learnt a lot about Kenyan culture and ate the best food, they made everything special for me as I'm a vegetarian and allergic to onion and garlic. Also explained how to make it and showed me when I wanted. Thank you so so much!!

Great atmosphere, lovely people and very hospitable

I enjoyed the bonfire at night and the morning view of Kilimanjaro. Thomas Made our journey stress free as he was able to organize airport transfers from JKIA to the camp at very competitive rates. I would recommend the campsite.

Thank you to the host Thomas for an unforgettable stay at the Glass House. We stayed in the wooden one. The food from Chef Sam was amazing and went beyond expectations. Every meal tasted like it was made with real passion. The packed lunches for our game drives were convenient and perfectly portioned. The beds were soft and very comfortable. The view of Mt. Kilimanjaro was breathtaking. The pool was a little cold but still fun and refreshing. The showers were not heated, but after a day in the African sun, they felt just right. Another Sam, who takes care of the house, was incredibly kind and attentive. He made sure we were always comfortable and set up an outdoor fire every evening just in time for stargazing. Getting there was a bit challenging. We’ve pinned the exact spot where to turn off from the main highway C102 and added a photo for directions: https://maps.app.goo.gl/CYh3SEKKKM2rwhQx6?g_st=aw. The Google Maps route is bumpier, so it’s best to avoid it. This place is truly special and made for an unforgettable experience.

Teule Guest House is a very clean and comfortable place. The beds are big and comfy, an the common spaces are very cozy. Plus, you can see the Kilimanjaro from outside your window so perfect spot. The food at the Guest House is super affordable, abundant and tasty (we tried breakfast included with the hotel fee and we paid apart for dinner). You can get very fulfilled meal for less than 3 dollars. The bathroom was super clean and you have everything you need on it: hot shower, nice and big towels, toilet paper, soap and air freshener. But the best part is Esther: she's the most lovely woman we met so far here in Kenya. She cooked very well and feels like a friend from the beggining. She takes care of everything and was always checking on us to make us feel comfortable. Without any doubts, Teule Guest House is an awesome place to stay to see the kilimanjaro, experience village life in Kenya, and meet very nice people.

A tranquil place in the middle of savanna with magnificent views on Kilimanjaro, birds singing since early morning on acacia trees and amazing people who make this please special and take care of you like of their own friends. We arrived in Emali and were picked up by a taxi and brought directly to the camping. We booked four nights in a tent but as we had no car and our backpacks would probably not fit in a tent, we had to change for a house (additionally paid). This place is very safe, surrounded by an electric fence, gate closed for the night and security (Sam) is always there for you. Brian (Lerionka) is a great host (he together with Sam and my husband organized beautiful birthday for me), an awesome cook (his food was delicious) and tour guide - he knows so much about the nature and enjoys sharing his passions with guests. We went on one-day Safari in Amboseli organized by Brian with a guide Isak (very competent guide with years of experience, highly recommended), walking tour (spotting zebras) on savanna next to the camping, hiking on foothill of Kili and even a cooking lesson with Brian. If you would like to relax, spend time in nature, enjoy the views of top of Kilimanjaro and get an authentic experience in Kimana and Oloitokitok, you should definitely stay longer than 2 nights.
