This was the best value for money stay I had this trip. Highly recommend opting for dinner to be included with your stay. The steamed vegetables and meat with rice and soup was a sumptuous, healthy yet delicious meal especially at the end of a day's big hike. The dorm beds were comfortable, and it was a really nice luxury to get a private onsen experience (especially the outdoor one). Though there was no convenience store around, the hostel has a very good range of snacks, instant noodles, buns at good prices so you don't have to worry about not having food around.

The family running this guest house was so welcoming and made our stay an absolute pleasure. Delicious food (dinner and breakfast) and great facilities (incl. onsen) in a beautiful natural environment.

The Owners helped greatly with the Luggage Service as well as providing us with emergency Equipment and information of the Typhoon. Informing way before the Stay and also after we left the the Accomodation to Continue the Kumano Kodo. First time i experienced this and it's greatly appreciated. The house had everything that you might need for your stay, Kitchen, Washing machine. the House itself is neat, clean and very charming

I loved the guest and the beauty of the room and the surrounding area, I was very tired from a long hike in the summer heat but this place recharged me again. I also enjoyed the public onsen only 4 minutes from the house. I would love to come back one day!

An amazing Royakan for a sleepover on Kumano Kodo trail. We came soaked in rain and the staff welcomed us offering shoe warmers and their all in all hospitality. The food was very delicious and the onsen a great pleasure after a day of hikomg
