This is a wonderful apartment. It would be more correct to say that it is a part of the house. A great place to feel how the locals live. In life, everything is much better than in the photos. There is all the equipment (even an air grill and a dryer), there is a small garden inside the house. All the furniture, dishes and equipment are new or in very good condition. You can park your car for free near the house. The owners are a family. On the day of our arrival, they gave us a local fruit - a huge sweet Sicilian lemon. They are very kind, ready to help with any questions. Every morning they brought us breakfast. In addition to breakfast, there was a small additional treat - marzipan or chocolates. The hostess asked what we wanted to see and tried to help with any questions. It seemed that we were not tourists, but relatives of the owners who came to visit them. The town is very quiet, the sea is close, it is very convenient to get to Catania, Taormina, the outlet or the volcano Etna. The hosts are friendly to guests. Our dog was given a special bed, which he really liked. We subsequently had to buy one for our house. If we had to go to Sicily again, we would choose to stay in this house.

we liked the pools so much! We had marvelous view from our both balconies - sea on one side and Etna on the other side. We were lucky enough to see Etna's red glowing peak in the darkness. The hotel has a beautiful garden as well. There were 2 bathrooms in our room which was extremely convenient when travelling with the family. The staff was so welcoming, we were allowed to stay in our room as long as we wish , so we stayed half of the day on our checkout day. We are coming back there soon, for sure.

The apartment was brand new and everything was so nice and clean. The details and decor was perfect. The apartment has a nice balcony with view to Etna. There is a nice beach close by. Dario and his wife are so friendly and helpful. They had filled the fridge for us for breakfast. The kitchen has everything you wish for and the TV has Netflix. Downstairs there is a fine little pizzaria. Mascali is not that touristy but the apartment is a perfect base for trips til Etna, Taormina, Catania, Alcantara etc. We really recommend thus place and hope to come back.

This apartment was exactly as described. Inside was very clean and you can see that the owner actually cares about it. Also with the accomodation there is provided a private parking with the gate. The owner is very helpful and lovely and was asking if everything is ok through the whole stay. The apartment is very close to the beach,you just have to cross the street

The scenery was marvelous whilst sunrises and sunsets were a splendor to watch. The host was very kind and gentle; he used to bring us food surprises (typical Sicilian delicacies) every morning. We're still dreaming about this place and we wish that we will be back one day again. Thank you for being so kind to our family. The communication with the hosts was very good throughout. On the day of our arrival, I was contacted by the hosts who asked me for the approximate time of my arrival at the location; which was a very good sign that they were waiting for me. Once we arrived we were met by Sara who greeted us warmly and welcomed us to the holiday home. My family and I were also invited to the upper terrace where the hosts live, and we could enjoy the breath taking views of Mascali and the distant ocean. The outside space is ample and my pet dog could freely run around and interacting with the neighbours dog. Gated parking was available for our use, so it was always very safe with our minds at rest. Sara's dad was so kind to provide me with snow chains for the eventuality of need when visiting Etna slopes. Despite the hosts living at the upper level, we enjoyed complete privacy at all times; the hosts made themselves available for any needs or questions which we had during our stay. The house was very clean, the oven functional, clean sheets and towels were provided. Central heating was activated by the hosts during evenings, so it was comfy staying inside with light clothing. The mattresses were kind of soft and not to our preference (I use fully orthopedic); this said we still managed to get good night's sleep. The shower cubicle is of the smallest size like the 70 x 70 cm; this size is very much typical in Sicily; but again we could still have a decent shower with hot good flowing water. The location of the property is accessible through a cul de sac with an advantage that there was absolutely no traffic on the street. A car is definitely needed, because the amenities are located some 10 minutes away by car downhill. The surrounding streets leading to the property are not very great, these are narrow single lanes enough for two cars to pass within 4 inches away from each other; there were a few potholes along the way to be aware of.
