Holiday Rentals in Abbeyshrule

I wanted to do a little cycling alongside the canal. The village nearby has been upgraded recently and now represents some of the best of the midlands of Ireland. The canal bridle path is really lovely for walking or cycling. The renovation of the old miller's house (-subsequently a Garda (police) station) was absolutely outstanding. Very sympathetic and the best police station that I have slept in!

It was lovely restored Georgian house. The place was spotless. The bed was very comfortable. Lovely bedroom. Breakfast was good. Susan was very welcoming. House is very close to the village and I was able to get an evening meal in local pub. Unfortunately couldn’t stay longer as work beckoned. Will definitely stay there again.

very friendly hosts, beautifully renovated period house , room & beds comfortable, in the countryside but only a 5 minute walk from small village, food good in the rustic inn, asked what we wanted for breakfast, good Irish breakfast that was served to us, 10 minutes drive from centre parks.

Very friendly, welcoming host. The house was really warm. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely. House is in a great location really close to the village of Abbeyshrule.

The house is as restored 18th/19th century residential home and it has been done with great taste. About 7 minutes walk from the house is a very good restaurant/pub called The Rustic Inn. I had a very good 3 course dinner there - their wine list is very good considering that its a small rural village. The combination of Abbeyview house and the nearby restaurant makes this an ideal setting for a short visit to the locality
