Outstanding location. Crespo is a beautiful village, pleaceful, well-kept in an environment rich in wild flowers, butterflies, bird song..... Lovely walks from the door in multiple, different habitats. Clear, clean air. We saw many large raptors and a wild boar. Also interesting villages, towns, hermitages etc. You need a car to enjoy these. La Gandara itself is a beautiful, traditional house. Food was excellent (breakfasts and dinners). Javier and Isabella were very helpful and responsive and very knowledgeable about the local area. They went out of their way to communicate with us in English as our Spanish is very poor indeed. Friendly dinners around the large dining table (when other guests were there).

The apartment was really nice and spacious with all that we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was amazing, responsive and gave us great tips for places to visit. Also we were able to check in later than 18:00 which allowed us travel in a more relaxed way.
