Location was perfect. There were three restaurants within 1 minute walk that were all exceptional. Location is 20 minutes from the airport and the best beach in Dominica...Batibau. The host was extra informative and sweet. If you decide to stay close to the Capital you would have to drive 1.5hrs to get there compared to the 20minutes in Calibishe.

The location is up a high ridge above the village of Calibishie. For the island, the settlement has a wide variety of interesting places to eat and drink and the hosts are happy to recommend their favourites. The room was very spacious and had a very genuine island feel with its furnishings and decorations. Breakfasts served outside in the garden (except when raining heavily) were always interesting with island fruits, juices, breads and jams with other goodies. As one expects in Dominica, the garden was lush with interesting plants and one feels safely integrated with the local community when staying here which was my main reason for choosing to stay here.

Kiki's Nature Cabin is situated in Calibishie and offers a garden and barbecue facilities. There is an outdoor fireplace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking.

The host was the absolute heart of the accommodation! I booked this place thinking it was a multi room hotel so when we arrived in the middle of nowhere to a house perched up a very steep hill, I didn't think we were in the right place so we drove off. The GPS redirected us back and when we got back we were happily greeted by Jo-Ann, whose beautiful smile never left her face for the three days of our stay. Other than her smile, we enjoyed chatting with J-A a lot about gardening, island politics, her projects and both our world views:) The apt. is rather small yet has everything one needs and we tended to live outside anyway, enjoying the garden and the magnificent ocean view with a glimpse of Marie-Galante. But this hostess with the mostess has a super power to discover: she's an amazing chef cook! I don't know where she finds all the ingredients yet she knows how to handle her chicken, fish and plenty of veggies, and she's generous too!!! Both breakfast and dinner were equally scrumptious, delicious and with lots of variety. Thanks again Jo-Ann for your warmest of welcomes.

A lot of space and nice view from the terrace, but the best of all: The owners!! They are unbelievably friendly!! Unfortunately, I was sick during my stay and I was so lucky how lovely they took care of me. They picked me up from the doctor and even cooked soup for me. They cared like parents about my well-being. So sweet!! Please stay at their place, you won’t regret it!!

Kevin is a great host and a very nice person. He helped me plan several tours by public transport and made countless calls to make sure things went as smoothly as possible. Most importantly, he organized a tour in the Kalinago Territory where I got to meet amazing people and learned a lot about Kalinago heritage. It was definitely a good idea to take the breakfast and dinner options, the food is delicious!

Standing on 6 acres of an old coconut plantation, these private cottages offer access to the beach and views over Prince Rupert Bay. A wellness centre with massage services is also available.

Picards Cottages has very helpful and welcoming staff / nothing too much trouble. The sea is literally on the doorstep of the chalets. Lovely to swim when sea sea calm - or to sit and do nothing on the patio! The tiny chalet had everything we needed - aircon, basic kitchen, not far from two minimarts and a couple of restaurants. (recommend Infinity ) And we found a quirky secret hidden bar up the beach that possibly people might miss (turn left as you come out of cottage and walk south along the beach about 200 metres). Portsmouth and Indian river just 10 minutes on the local bus. Just wait on main road until a minivan stops or wave it down - fare is $1 EC - yes one East Caribbean dollar!

We loved our stay. Everything was clean, comfortable and great value for money The bathroom in our en-suite bedroom was amazing with jacuzzi bath and shower/wet room . We wanted to see the less touristy east coast of Dominica and this was perfect. The hosts were so friendly and kind and made us very much at home.. I would highly recommend a car if you were to stay in the area.
