The whole place has a unique alpine surrounding. We found ourselves in an "old" neighbourhood to be met by an extremely helpful and kind host into a warm and comfortable family atmosphere which has everything you need after a long drive before the amazing Matternhorn peak.

The guesthouse was really comfortable and I enjoyed my stay. The sleeping room and bathroom were clean and the surrounding atmosphere, environment and nature were really beautiful. The place could be easily reached by bus and train. Communication with the host was very easy as well and I received the answers to my questions quickly. If you're looking for a cheap, clean and cosy guesthouse to stay at, I would definitely recommend this place.

    This hotel is surrounded by the mountains, we had a view of Matterhorn directly from our room. Comfortable rooms (lots of steps if you are on top floor as there is no lift). Very good breakfast and they can cater for your dinner as well. Friendly staff and the surroundings are just breathtaking. The bus comes to the village once an hour but your own transport is recommended.

    The location of this hotel is great for starting the Europaweg walk along the Mattertal. You need to walk downhill first to Herbriggen then up again to the Europahut. It's a very quiet village and the hotel has everything you would need for a good night's stay. The welcome from the owners was very helpful, the evening meal was great, the room and bed were very good and the breakfast was good. the picnic provided for the next day was really good!
