The host was so gracious, friendly and kind, even making a pot of mint tea from his garden plant for my sick child. The view from the rooms is total wow factor: the 500 year old massive ceiba tree + the lush rainforest with all the colorful tropical plants and birds + the lake = heaven! The rooms are spotless and the home cooked meals delicious. I hope we have the good fortune to start here again someday 🥰

Situated in Carrillo and only 200 metres from Carrillo Beach, La Puesta del Sol B&B features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. This bed and breakfast offers a garden as well as a bar. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. A lovely place to stay in San Jose! Very close to the beach. both the room and the bathroom were clean and comfortable, and it had air conditioning. The breakfast is delicious, the best we had during our 2-weeks travel around Costa Rica! We haven’t dined in the restaurant there but the bar in the garden is great! Especially that there is not really where to go around town after dark (which is a big advantage as Puerto Carrillo is calm and peaceful) :) And last but not least, very kind and helpful staff!

The place itself is a few minutes walk from nightlife but far enough for the peace and quiet. The staff were really friendly and excited to help. Out of my 7 day stay in Costa Rica, this was the most relaxing.

The place is managed by a family from France. The pool is beautiful and clean. The room is big , beds are very comfortable, the AC is great and conveniently positioned in the room. The breakfast is very tasty, the French crepes are especially good! The location is great, very close to Tamarindo (11 minutes) but away from the crowds. Just perfect, everything. And we could have a late checkout, till 12pm. Thank you Arthur and your family!

Guests at Casa Donna Rosa B&B can enjoy cycling nearby, or make the most of the garden. Everything was excellent from the food, to the hospitality, to the location. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. Our hosts went above and beyond to make sure that we had a wonderful experience.
