Askiesbos was one of the best places we stayed on our 3-week trip to Botswana. The common areas are comfy, with tea and coffee and filtered/purified water available on-tap. The view over the pan-handle papyrus whilst sat on a sofa was brilliant. We spotted a handful of birds just from there! Our excursions were booked ahead of time and were not only value for money but were brilliant. If you are interested in birds, ask for Lucky as your guide. We saw over 60-bird species in just two days spent with him (panhandle tour and Tsodilo hills walk). The accommodation is a little out of the way, but fully accessible from the main road and we were able to organise a pick-up from the bus stop also. Overall, fantastic stay - highly recommend.

The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. Very responsive and easy to talk to. Easily the best shower in all of Botswana and very comfortable beds too. I slept extremely well. I also love that they have a little shop with their staff’s handicraft work for sale, so much more special when you meet the people who made the items you buy in person.
