I stayed at Dinesh House the night before the start of my Vipassana course at the Dhamma Pokhara Vipassana Center in Leknath. I can highly recommend Dinesh House as the perfect place to prepare for Vipassana since it is so quiet, beautiful, tranquil and serene :) It would also be a wonderful place to re-enter reality after a 10-day Vipassana, for the same reasons! It couldn't be closer to the Vipassana Center; I was able to walk there the next morning from Dinesh House, it was only about a 10-minute walk away! First things first: the views from Dinesh House are absolutely gorgeous!!! You can see Begnas Lake, and on a clear day the Annapurna Mountain Range as well! I couldn't have asked for more beautiful views. Onto the hosting family: Dinesh and his lovely wife, Dipa. They were both SO kind to me during my stay. On my walk to Dinesh House, there was a bit of rain, so he came out to walk me there and brought me an umbrella to keep me dry! I was really happy with my room, the bathroom, and especially the meals: Dipa cooked me a delicious dal bhat dinner the night I arrived, plus a tasty omelette with chapati & coffee the next morning. I highly recommend Dinesh House to travelers looking for beautiful views, tasty food, and friendly company on site — thanks so much Dinesh & Dipa for providing such a wonderful experience!

Beautiful location with a view! On top of the hill so away from the noise. Rooms are basic, shared toilet. The host is an amazing human being. Very helpful and made me feel safe. Thank you for everything!!!

I have been staying at this property for over 20 years...it’s always clean and well managed by the family owner...it’s a bit back from the road but in a safe and quiet area... I can highly recommend.

My favourite place to stay when I am in Pokhara. I’ve stayed multiple times and never disappointed. Always very clean and comfortable. Staff are so friendly and there to help with anything needed. Great location - on a quiet street just back from Lakeside. Plenty cheap places around to eat too.
