I would recommend this place to everyone! The host was so incredibly hospitable and sweet. She helped us with the elephant trip, cooked us an amazing dinner and breakfast and was just all around incredibly accommodating. She even let us stay a little while longer to freshen up and prepare for the next leg of our journey, after we came back from half a day in Anudharapura. You really see that she loves hosting and it shows in everything she does for her guests.

The owner was very nice to me. He offered me free drining water and arranged it himself. Two times I got lost, I couldn't find my way to the guest house, since it's a bit further inside from the main road. He was very kind to come and pick me with his motorcycle. The room and toilet was newly built and clean. AC was working perfectly fine, although during night I didn't need it. The bed was comfortable and huge. He also provided me with cutleries when I needed. There's public transport available to Pollonaruwa 10 minutes walking distance from the place. Getting a Tuktuk might be a bit challenging.

Very peaceful garden setting with lots of birds and chipmunks playing in the trees. Beautiful swimming pool that the kids enjoy cooling down in after a hot day! We enjoyed the breakfast and friendly staff!

This is one of the best places to stay in Sigiriya. The location is amazing and very close to all the tourist attractions. Suman, the owner, is very nice. Helped me for the whole trip with transport and my wellbeing. The food was really good. The room was clean and spacious with good AC and WIFI.

We loved our stay here and would recommend it to everyone. So far, it has remained the nicest one we have stayed in and we already miss it. The room and bathroom are furnished beautifully, making it a very luxurious stay. The cabin is very private and has a nice view out over the fields. We woke up to birdsong and the nearby roosters, which we loved. The family who owns the stay is incredibly kind and looked after us well with snacks of fruit, great breakfast and a delicious dinner in their garden. They arranged for our Tuktuk to hike Pidurangala rock for sunrise which got us there before the large crowds and they also gave us bikes to use throughout our stay. It is well situated, a short tuktuk ride to main strips of restaurants, and a pleasant (albeit hot) cycle.

In the middle of the jungle, the staff is really nice and helpful, they managed many services for us (tuktuks, bike rental, safari, laundry and even umbrellas during the heavy night rains) We had all our meals there (breakfast was enough for lunch)

I stayed at Sashini Homestead for 2 nights and had an absolute wonderful time. Chaminda and his family were fabulous hosts and provided great information about the Tourist sites. The room was super clean, large and well equipped and had the best bathroom I saw in Sri Lanka. Breakfast was prepared by his wife and tested delicious. The location is fantastic and Lion Rock is only a 10 minutes walk away. Chaminda also has a Tuk Tuk and will bring or fetch you from anywhere at a very reasonable rate. Thanks again for the wonderful stay, can definitely recommend the Homestead to anyone.
