It was one of the most amazing stays we had. We were well taken care of and the food was out of this world. They make all the food in house and it’s super delicious. Edward, the manager speaks really good English and will accompany you on giving tips around what can be done in the area. The hotel is placed in a calm estate so you hear birds and insects and a lot of nature. Overall it was a superb stay and we wish we could stay there for a bit longer.

Grand Colonial Viveka has the best view of Kurunegala lake and it's located closer to Kurunegala city centre. Hospitality is high end, food is delicious and staff is very friendly. I felt like home with these beautiful people around. Thank you Maureen (Manager) and Senerath (MD) for managing this beautiful place alive. I'll definitely comeback when I visit Srilanka next time. We have booked this place for our first night in Sri Lanka. The owner met us on arrival. As it was everything new to us, we had a good few questions and owner couldn't be more than helpful. He advised us on the places we can visit, where to exchange money etc. Communications been very clear. The house is located within working distance to the very busy town, but in the very quiet area, so we had a very good sleep 😁 If you are looking to visit Matale and looking to stay near by highly recommend to stay at this property 👍 This was a first time we saw the monkeys 🤣🤣
