United KingdomAbsolutely loved this place - our room on the second floor looked out onto the trees and up to Mount Daisen, and from the seating area we felt immersed in the woods. The hosts felt very welcoming and calm and it was the most peaceful experience. The vegan food was out of this world and we started each day with a zen meditation with one of the monks. Would definitely recommend to stay at this ryokan to find some stillness and comfort. Would rate at 11 if I could.
