We booked a 2 bedroom+living room apartment in this building, it was a nicely furnished, modern apartment at a great price. The host lady was very kind to us, checking in was easy. There are restaurants, cafés, and a gallery nearby. And the view... OMG the from there is unbelievable, the building is next to the bay, overlooking Kirkjufell mountain. Watching the northern lights from there was such an uplifting experience. If you want to explore the Snaefellsnes peninsula, Grundarfjördur is a great location to stop at with such a beautiful scenery, surrounded by the mountains, and booking this apartment is highly recommended.

Brilliant location, excellent quality of all facilities, especially the shower! Beds were so comfy and warm after a cold, wet day. Breakfast was great.

The room is splendind with a view! The buffet dinner is tasty! Kitchen was well equipped and allowed us to make a few meals. Beds were comfortable. Beautiful natural surroundings. Laundry room available with a dryer which was excellent.

This hotel is on the southern shore of the Snaefellsnes peninsula, close to the water. The modern room (comfort twin with glacier view) was spacious with two chairs, a desk and small table, comfortable bed and a nice bathroom with good shower. There are electrical outlets galore in this room. The weather didn't allow for a view but we would have seen the glacier out of our spacious window if the peak hadn't been covered with clouds. The dining room has a very good dinner buffet and excellent breakfast with many hot and cold items. Location is convenient for visiting the Snaefellsjokull National Park (be sure to go to the excellent visitor center at Malarrif) Budir, Hellnar, Arnarstapi, the black pebble beach, and other amazing wonders of the area. Highly recommended.

Located along the coastline, Við Hafið Guesthouse offers accommodation in Ólafsvík. Guests can benefit from free WiFi. Rooms feature either a view of the sea or mountains.

+ amazing place near the beach with fantastic landscapes +good place to see the Northern lights is the weather is good +common kitchen was very clean and well maintained and had all the utensils with multiple stoves. +common shower and toilet were also very clean and well maintained. Separate shower and toilet area for women also is available. +petrol/diesel gas station is right next to this place. Very easy to fill up our cars for the next day's long trip.
