I was really impressed by the breakfast service. The staff were diligent, efficient, and very thorough. You always know when you're dealing with experienced staff when they don't have to write anything down. I'm pleased that there were sensible vegetarian and gluten free options available.

Comfortable room and good bathroom facilities. Tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge in room. Sainsburys a few doors away. In the centre of town but the road was quite quiet. We tried our first oatcake ever for breakfast from Poveys, who are across the road. Brilliant 360° view from Mow Cop Folly, which is not far away. Lovely friendly people.

This is a beautiful old building, and the whole place has been decorated beautifully and has loads of character. Our room was stunning, and very well appointed. The staff were also great.
