Located in what once was a picturesque fishing village, Al Sultan is a beach resort resembling a Bedouin fortress. It overlooks it's private beach on the Arabian Gulf and features an outdoor pool.

Popular attractions nearby the Al Sultan resort include Al Khor Beach, famous for pearl fishing and Al Khor Gardens, a prime picnic spot. Free private parking is available at the property. I arrived very early at the resort and since my room was not ready I was offered a free upgrade to a suite which was already available. I really thank the receptionist for this as I was really tired and I needed a good rest. The suite was wonderful, very beautifully decorated, comfortable and with a nice view to the sea. The swimming pool was very nice and the breakfast with a big variety of foods to choose from. I also tried the jacuzzi which was very relaxing. I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It is very good value for money and I totally recommend it to anyone visit the area of Al Khor.
