About the surroundings: The turtle reserve in Ras al Jinz is about a 20 mins drive away, so not too far if you want to go there for the morning or evening-excursion. The beach in Ras al Hadd itself is really quiet. From here you can go snorkeling and on a boat tour to see some dolphins or turtles in the water, if you're lucky ;-) the trip can be booked at the guest house

Design of the house is quite nice.

So we were unsure whether to book this or not because of the reviews here, but took the risk! The property was absolute AMAZING, the location was perfect, but the staff were unbelievable! I mentioned it’s one of our friends birthdays and he went out to FILL the villa with balloons, decorations, birthday cake, candy, and lots of other fun things for when we arrived! We all arrived at awkward timings but he made sure to meet us super early to check in. He arranged a chef to cook us a bbq, constantly made sure we were well looked after, the villa is amazing, clean, comfortable, awesome cinema room, the pool and jacuzzi were amazing, and there’s a steam room! Huge villa but still very homely feeling, 100% recommend and we will definitely be back soon! Again thank you so much to the staff for making sure we were well looked after and going above and beyond at every stage! You were awesome !

The hotel is an ideal stop over to the Turtle Beach at Ras-al-Hadd, Wadi Bani Khalid and Wahiba Sands, a major tourist attraction in Oman. Best Western Sur is also convenient for business with a multipurpose conference room. Perfect stay in Sur with clean and big rooms, a very nice restaurant inside, delicious and a big variety of dishes for breakfast and dinner. The pool and the gym are both very nice, also very attentive staff! Loved it and would definitely recommend.

Sea Turtles Guest House is a fabulous place. The host, Mr Abdullah, is very welcoming and friendly. He was constantly providing us with snacks and one night even provided a full meal for all the guests. Rooms are a good size and very clean. Wifi is good. Pool and garden area is really nice. Breakfast is amazing. Area is very quiet. Didn't want to leave!! The only negative is the amount of plastic rubbish lying around between the Guest House and the beach. This is not the fault of the Guest House. But it is such a shame that such a beautiful location is spoiled in this way.

Set in Sur, 49 km from Al Hadd Fort, 411Motel offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Very friendly staff. In the review, someone was complaining about the mattresses being too hard. The staff informed us right away about such a thing and offered us a different room. Honestly, the harder mattresses were very good for us, and we chose to stay in the same room.
