The owner and staff were so welcoming. The sunset with volcano views, near the entrance to the river for kayaking. Beside a happening bar. Mango beach is great too. The toilets and showers were very clean. A magical paradise. The hut was perfectly cute right on the water front.

Free WiFi and a tour desk are featured. The ranch is beautiful and spaceous with lots of hammocks and spots to hang out. Daniela and Tony are the absolute best, so kind and helpful. There is only one dorm, so not that many people, and because of that it feels like a small family. The ranch is 15 minute walk from the town/ferry, so it is nice and quiet. The breakfasts are amazing and really good value, and one day we had a family dinner, which was delicious. You are surrounded by animals and flowers and trees, even mango-trees which you can help yourself from! They organise volcano tour (with delicious packed lunch), kayak and laundry if you need. This was my favourite place to stay on my trip, everyone should go visit this ranch!!

Che was an amazing host with lots of local recommendations and helped us book a scooter, ATV and gave us recommendations for horseback riding. This is an incredibly unique and beautiful cabin that Che built himself as a labour of love for his original home on Ometepe Island. We felt incredibly lucky to have stumbled on this absolute gem of a place to stay in one of the most special places in the world.

It is a beautiful semi-secluded sanctuary perfect for travelers who enjoy peace and quiet and nature, and who are interested in trading a few luxuries for a more authentic and eco-friendly stay. It is a few miles from any stores or restaurants, but they serve food on site that is delicious and reasonably priced.

Amazing spot in Balgue, great value for money. The most enjoyable part of the house is the beautiful patio by the rock's beach. Our room was quite large, welcoming with a private bathroom. Kitchen is well equipped, you have all the essentials to prepare your meals. Cherry on the top is the owner: Mar is a sweet and really kind local man who loves to give you hints and tips to explore this beautiful island.

Some units include a dining area and/or a patio. You can tell this hostel was put together over years with care and attention. Furniture is all handmade by local craftsmen, for example. I spent way too much time in one rocking chair that I wanted to take home with me. Estelle the owner and her family give it a very homey touch. Filtered water is free! Highly recommend it.

Providing a bar, the property is located within 11 km of Maderas Volcano. Certain units at the property include a balcony with a lake view. I went there with my 68-year-old mother. The staff were awesome at all times, going beyond expectations. The hotel is near a white sanded beach, with an awesome view to one of the volcanoes. We only tried Nicaraguan food from the menu, and it was delicious. Ojo de agua is somewhat close, if you get the chance try to go there. The hotel will help you to get a taxi.

I loved the location on the water, it is far from the ferry and down a bit of a bumpy road, but we had our own transport so was fine. Nice to be away from the crowds in a very peaceful place. The bungalow is simple, clean & comfortable with good a/c & wifi. A really good breakfast of your choice is included & the beer is ice cold! One of the owners, Fernando is super friendly, funny & chill. The kayak rental was great.
