The staff were very kind and helpful. They gave me a big city map and explained what places are worth visiting in the Seoraksan National Park and in Sokcho. I highly appreciate they helped me plan an onward bus journey to Andong. The bus stop for the National Park is 15 minutes away on foot, the express bus terminal for Seoul about the same, and the intercity bus terminal is a short bus ride away. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and very quiet. I booked a single, but received a double room - thank you! There was a large fridge and a freezer on every floor.

Everything. The guesthouse is located adjacent to seaport so you can feel and smell the sea breeze, also it is only walking distance to open markets that sells everything you need. The guesthouse is very hommy and the owner is very friendly and can speaks few languages fluently (Chinese, English, Indonesian...). I recommend to choose family room with sea view if you travel with 4-5 people. Big room, seaport view with seagulls chirping sound every morning. There is also recommended seafood restaurant at around 200 m back of the hotel, but you need to come before closing time at 8.15 pm. Will definitely stay in this guesthouse if we go back to Sokcho.

The hostel is 1.5 km from Yeongnangho, 2.1 km from Sokcho Expo Park and 2.3 km from Sokcho Beach. Full of character and spotlessly clean. The bedroom was very comfortable and Mr Yoo couldn’t have been nicer!! Lots of advice about where to eat in town and walk in the National Park. Would definitely come back!!
