Excellent hotel, excellent facilities and outstanding service of all staff without any exception. Staff from reception, housekeeping, bar and restaurant, the security make you feel like at home. We had to call an ambulance in the night due to a sudden illness and remained in the hospital for 36 hours and the support of hotel staff was remarkable. Under the management of the responsible/manager they all act in a very diligent and kind manner, took care of us, specially of our children, who stayed alone at the hotel, while we were at the hospital,… their care and honest interest made us all feeling like at home and in family. We frankly recommend this hotel for the location, facilities, food and service, and overall by their staff approach. Congratulations!

We spent a week in Zanzibar in 3 different hotels close in price and this was clearly the best. Everything was excellent from the reception, to the room, the pool and the restaurant directly on the beach and the staff was very kind and smiling all the time.

The villa was amazing, true to pictures and even exceeding in some aspects. Ricardo was an excellent host and always only a text away. The breakfast was exceptional with a variation of fruits, eggs, bread, pastries, cakes, fresh juice, yoghurt, milk and sandwiches everyday. The rooms were clean on arrival and cleaned every day. The location was perfect for us as we wanted a quiet beach area to relax. There are restaurants all up and down the beach within easy walking distance and shops + more restaurants just 5 minutes taxi away in Paje. The swimming pool was a dream, we spent relaxing afternoons and evening in the water, a welcome escape from the heat. We loved it and we will definitely be back.

Wow just everything! It’s like landing in paradise - villa’s are immaculate, the plunge pools are wonderful - we hired bikes and cycled to The Rock - great location food was stunning and lovely swimming pool and beach. staff were all amazing

Totally recommend!! Pia, Leo and all the staff are friendly, kind, attentive, generous and helpful. The location is beautiful and peaceful, on a white sandy beach. The ocean out front is swimmable at high tide, and walkable at low tide, with locals seaweed farming and fishing in the intertidal areas. This hotel is just out of the hubbub of Paje, but an easy 20-30 minute beach walk to the cafes, kite hire shops, etc. Plenty of tours and activities can be arranged if you want to explore the island. Beds are comfortable, rooms and bathrooms are clean, food is excellent, and the outdoor seating and loungers ensure you can relax! We had a perfect 5 nights here.

Absolutely everything about this place exceeded our expectations! It's an absolute must-visit. We were particularly impressed by the owner's commitment to sustainability, evident in their refusal to use single-use plastics. Instead, they offer fresh water in glass bottles and provide stainless steel straws with each drink. The staff's kindness extends beyond humans, too - their furry friends, the dogs and cats, are clearly well-loved and cared for. Another thoughtful touch is the daily visit from staff around 6 pm to spray the room with bug repellent - a lovely added convenience. Overall, we can't recommend this place highly enough!

I stayed at Zan Hotel for over a week and was satisfied. Every morning, a delicious, extensive breakfast was served, with choices along the beach or from the panoramic rooftop restaurant, where you can also enjoy a delicious dinner in the evening at a reasonable price. They organize fun activities, such as a henna session, a short village walk with a very local guide, and so on. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. During my first few days, there was construction going on at the hotel, so I got a better price on Booking.com, which seems fair to me. There are several clean swimming pools you can use, with sea views. The beds are comfortable and clean, and the shower is good.
