Everything from start to finish was amazing. Complimentary pick up from the train station, the villa is equipped with everything you need for a perfect relaxing stay. We had some meals during our time made by the chef Elizabeth who is an incredibly talented chef and catered to our dietary requirements seemlessly. Our friends had a surprise engagement during our stay and they helped set up decorations for dinner. Couldn’t rate this place more highly it’s incredible !! Thank you again for the perfect stay.

After first visiting Whitesands 30 years ago I found everything to be even better than I remember with amazingly helpful, friendly staff (loved their uniforms), lovely rooms, good food (didn’t try the main dining in the evening as there’s plenty of alternatives) beautiful decor and perfectly situated in well tended gardens on the beach. Whats not to like? I totally recommend paying the bit extra here - it’s worth it.

The staff was attentive, professional, friendly, helpful and attentive. The property and grounds were picturesque. The grounds were very well kept. The details of everything is something to see. The fresh fruit and food was delicious. There were many good vegan, vegetarian options to choose from, which was helpful because I am a vegan. My husband enjoyed the meat options. The various amounts of drink options were also appreciated. Our visit to beautiful Mombasa, Kenya was an experience and our stay at Serena Beach Resort & Spa was an experience just in itself. I don't even think we had walked the entire compound as there were several areas for restaurants, activities, wine/cocktail bar/poolside bar seating and other multi-purpose seating areas. The steps that led us to the beautiful bech held even more opportunities to enjoy water activities, ride a catamaran boat out to feed and swim with the fish (look for Ali because he was wonderful), take photos with the camels, get your name carved in wood, and shop at the local pop up on the beach- so bring some Kenyan shilling. We got lucky and played football with the local young kids on the beach! It rained more than usual so we weren't able to hop on the jet skis this time. We truly loved every minute of my stay and have aspirations to return again someday. I am highly recommending Serena Beach Resort & Spa to anyone who is going to stay in Mombasa, Kenya. I am also recommending Kenya in general because it was a beautiful place with beautiful people. Thank you all so much for an unforgettably amazing trip! Asanti San!
