We had a truly memorable stay at Nao’s traditional Japanese house in Aomori during our trip to Tohoku. The home was beautifully maintained, blending authentic charm with modern comfort. It was located in a peaceful neighborhood, yet conveniently close to the city center and local attractions. Nao was an exceptional host—warm, thoughtful, and incredibly responsive. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with delightful gifts including local cider, juice, and even toys for both adults and our 5-year-old, which was such a lovely touch. Nao also helped us with transport by calling a taxi and provided great local recommendations that enriched our experience. The house itself was well-equipped and cozy, offering a perfect retreat after our daily adventures. We especially appreciated how it preserved the traditional Japanese aesthetic while ensuring all the essentials were available. We highly recommend Nao’s place to anyone visiting Aomori—whether you're traveling as a couple, with family, or solo. It’s a perfect blend of hospitality, comfort, and cultural charm.

Great location. Basically near everything you could need. It seems like it would be a great place to stay for the Nebuta festival! It was nice and clean. They had turned up the heat for us before we arrived :) definitely would stay again or possibly check out another option from the same owner.
