The grounds were incredible! I admittedly only booked our stay at Kia Lodge because of its proximity to the airport ahead of and after early morning / late flight arrivals, but Kia Lodge was the best maintained and nicest hotel we stayed at during our month-long trip to Tanzania! We were very impressed by the beautiful gardens, beautiful pool with a view of Kili and the spacious + comfortable rooms, not to mention the very attentive and helpful staff! I had been a bit concerned because airport hotels don't always have the best facilities and can be loud, but that was the exact opposite of our experience at Kia - instead of planes, you're serenaded by a variety of birds from across the grounds (I think we heard an elephant at one point too) and made for a very relaxing last day of our trip. A big thank you to the wonderful team of staff who arranged perfectly timed transfers & pickups, and offered well balanced meals and a bar to enjoy from the pool.

I will always remember the exceptionally warm welcome I received when I think of the Airport Planet Lodge. As a solo traveler, I deliberately looked for accommodation just outside of Arusha for my first stay in Tanzania that offered a free airport shuttle, as I didn't land in Tanzania until late in the evening, around 8:30 p.m. I traveled at the beginning of the low season in early April, so I received a free upgrade to the room I had booked. The room was large and spacious and was cleaned twice a day. The beds are very comfortable, and the mattresses weren't sagging. The water pressure in the shower is a bit weak, but perfectly acceptable. Only the Wi-Fi connection sometimes seems to be a bit overloaded. The staff were consistently courteous, polite, and attentive and helped me with all my questions and special requests. Many thanks again to Abu, Evarest, Kelvin, Pendo, and Josephin, who worked so hard to make my stay at the hotel a carefree experience. The breakfast buffet is exceptionally varied and offers a very large selection of different products, including freshly squeezed juices and fruit. The hotel restaurant changes its dinner menu every day, and the food was simply delicious. The hotel grounds are incredibly well-maintained and very beautiful. The pool is large and has a bar, although it wasn't always staffed due to the season. Only the pool chairs are showing their age and could use replacing. After a three-day tour of the Serengeti National Park, I was happy to return to the hotel for two more days before catching my next flight. It felt like coming home.

Comfortable private studio perfect for overnight transits and access to/from the airport in about 10 mins. The host was super friendly and they cooked me a home cooked dinner that was up there as one of the best meals I had in the two weeks. I would recommend.

Llegamos súper tarde porque nuestro vuelo al aeropuerto de Kilimanjaro se retrasó y el traslado del aeropuerto proporcionado por el hotel nos esperó por dos horas. Además a pesar de que llegamos como a las 12 de la noche nos ofrecieron una cena por si no habíamos tenido tiempo de cenar en el avión. El personal súper amable, preparados siempre para servirte y encantadores, y todo súper limpio. Al día siguiente después de un maravilloso desayuno hicimos el check out, y nos dejaron quedarnos en las instalaciones lo que quisimos (como 2 o 3 horas) hasta que nos pudieron venir a recoger. Un sitio muy acogedor y tranquilo, ideal para hospedarse tras un largo día de vuelos. Repetiremos!!

We arrived last night after coming from Zanzibar and stayed one night at Le Parlour. We were very well received and everything was in place so that we could rest immediately after our arrival. Nice and comfortable accommodation. Home made and tasty breakfast. The next day we had to wait for our rental car and we were allowed to stay after our check out time which we appreciated a lot.
