Located along Macatumbalen Beach in San Vicente, the Sunset Beach Resort by RF at SanVicentePalawan OPC features an outdoor pool with views of the sea and sunset and offers complimentary WiFi access... We had a great time at Robert's resort. The staff is super friendly, and the food is the best we ate in the Philippines. There are options to join different island hopping tours which we recommend a lot. You can also have a massage booked in short advance. There are a lot of beach amenities like hammocks and sunbeds, also in the shade so you will always find your place to relax with the sea view. One minus for me was that the sea is very shallow next to the beach so it is difficult to swim. But since we joined the private Port Barton island hopping tour we could swim there. Twin Reef is amazing and totally worth to see it.

Set in San Vicente, a few steps from Makatombaten Beach, Foxy's Beach Resort offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a private beach area. A true heaven on earth! We were so happy we chose this place as it was the highlight of our trip! We had some real rest here, enjoying the sound of sea waves and swimming all the time. This is an ideal place for a calm and quiet holiday. We spent here four nights and didn’t want to leave. The rooms are well decorated and comfortable, the pool is huge, deep and simply amazing. It is constructed in a way you can take photis while undwrneath the water. The restaurant provides high quality food, the breakfast we had at Foxy’s was the best in the Philippines. The resort is right on the beach, so simply walk 1 minute and you are in the sea with warm water and sand. The view is stunning! It was obvious that the owners care about their costumers and purchase high quality products for the restaurant therefore the food is delicious. We recommend to try their Thai Chicken Curry, House club sandwich and Spaghetti bolognese. The staff is amazing and super friendly. The owners of the place - Michelle and Brian are brilliant people with a great love story and humane attitude towards everyone. And if you are lucky enough, you may enjoy love songs from Michelle who used to be a professional singer. They have a karaoke facility. So if you want to have a calm and relaxed vacation away from the city noise,, to feel like home and be treated very friendly, Foxy’s is the best in Palawan.

Amihan Beach Hostel features a garden, private beach area, a shared lounge and restaurant in San Vicente. The air-conditioned rooms provide a sea view and come with a desk and free WiFi. The beautiful beach, practically devoid of people apart from the fishermen working in the morning, makes it even more fascinating to get to know the Filipino way of life. There are diving spots with turtles around and reef, and plankton can be observed at night (if it's dark enough). Long beach, so there's plenty of room for romantic, out-of-sight meetings. I really enjoyed it, it's a pity that only one night was planned. Very polite and friendly staff, with the owner himself cooking! A Filipino dinner and breakfast was prepared at our request - very tasty! The owner was happy to answer all our questions about life in the Philippines and helped us to make and adjust our itinerary, which worked out well.

If you want several km of perfect white sandy beach mostly to yourself and want to relax and play in the ocean and surf, this is the place for you! I MUCH prefer Saint Vincente for relaxation over El Nido, which is much too touristy for my tastes. However, El Nido has many more restaurants and accommodation choices. And stray dogs. And flies. And foreigners.
Fabulous long beach. Beautiful scenery. Friendly locals. A very unspoilt and undeveloped part of Palawan. As a westerner we only found a small number of restaurants with limited menus. No place for Lattes or Cappuccino etc. Accommodation is quite basic. However if you don't mind the basic facilities and prefer somewhere a bit low key then this area is wonderful.
Port barton is a laid back place with unpaved roads. Not much choice to eat or a place for night parties. Island hopping is soso as compared to el nido. I visited this place during lean/rainy season. I don’t know if the place gets better during peak/summer season. One day stay for island hopping is enough to stay here then explore other places like Dumaran or El Nido. What I liked most during island hopping was the giant corals snorkling area. Other than that, other places are not that special.
Long beach is absolutely beutiful and breathtaking- 15km long and absolutely no people around. San Vicente is very small and doesn‘t have a lot going on yet. Though it‘s a perfect starting point for private/shared boat tours! There‘s a rooftop bar/restaurant/accomodation: Marina4rooms. We had the best time there and the hosts are absolutely welcoming, friendly and so caring. They made us feel as if we‘re at home!
great area. shouldn't be overlooked/overshadowed. port barton island hopping tour is a must, and the long beach is amazing. Mango Bar has great food! Turtle Beach Resort offers a unique dining experience, and their mango shake is superb. owners are also so warm and welcoming. Lazuli Resort is one fine accommodation; so tranquil, and serene. definitely what we were looking for.
Absolutely! San Vicente really flies under the radar compared to El Nido and Coron, but that’s part of its charm. It’s less crowded, more laid-back, and still boasts those stunning, unspoiled beaches—especially the 14-kilometer Long Beach, which feels like a hidden gem. The slower pace and warm, genuine hospitality from the locals really give it that authentic "island life" vibe. It’s perfect for people looking to relax, connect with nature, and avoid the more tourist-heavy scenes. Some even say it’s what El Nido felt like 10 or 15 years ago.
