The ease of traveling and the calm and quiet environment.
The ease of traveling and the calm and quiet environment. Public transport is efficient and timely as well as predictable. Unlike other cities i have been to in other countries, i found this excellent. I visited historic sites tooGuest review byAnonymousKenya - 2.0

I don't recommend the room was so tiny even 1-person can't stay. In the room picture they mentioned 3 beds, but it was bunker bed. Travelling was big issue and no public transport available in time and i cont. get uber many times. It was my worst experience.Guest review byShankaranarayananIndia - 10.0
Geneva is beautiful.
Geneva is beautiful. The lake is amazing the food is glorious, though expensive, but there are bargains to be had in supermarkets. The yellow boat/ferry back and fore is an excellent way to traverse the lake and is free. Make use of the free public transport whenever possible via the free tourist pass. Most of the hotels will be able to email you with a link to the free pass system. We took a bus from the airport to the hotel and back again for our return home. Trams and buses are free. Take the scenic boat trip, well worth the time and money. Easy to get about on foot but you can walk lots if you want. Plenty of restaurants/cafes available to eat either breakfast, lunch or dinner. However be warned, Most shops don't open Sundays, including grocery stores. Cafes will open by about 10am.Guest review bySimeonUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Bus 60 (formaly known as "F") and 61 will take you back/forth to Geneva and Palias des Nations within 10-15 minutes, and to Cornavin train station in about 20 minutes (obviously also depends on the traffic). Bus 66 connect to Geneva airport (Swiss side) in less than 10 minutesGuest review byMartinSaudi Arabia - 10.0

I booked on the basis of easiest access to return a hire car to the French side of Geneva Airport and cost for three adults to stay overnight prior to an early morning flight. This hotel exceeded our expectations in what it delivers for the price. Friendly and professional mask-wearing staff (I believe Katalina?) who upgraded our room in respect of my mobility issues and (I believe Katarina?) who gave us a wonderful recommendation to a local restaurant for the best pizza ever. The room was clean and spacious enough for three adults, with one double and one single bed. Good shower, a window which opened, a desk, clothes cupboard. Based on previous comments re room size we were pleasantly surprised as the room, the caring and professional service, a very secure gated carpark etc all exceeded our expectations. Airport is a 5 minute drive away. Would highly recommend this hotel!Guest review byPatriciaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Geneva is conveniently located for visiting various nearby areas by train and other means of transport (Annecy 1h30, Lausanne 50 minutes, Yvoire 15 minutes by train plus 20 minutes by boat, Nyon 15 minutes, etc.). As a city, it doesn’t have a huge number of attractions, but it can serve as a great base for exploring the surrounding region. Yvoire and Annecy are especially beautiful places to visit, particularly during seasons when nature is in full bloom!Guest review byMariaGreece - 10.0

Ferney-Voltaire's value lies mainly in the fact that it is linked to expensive Geneva: busses go between the two and you can walk across the border. However, the little town also offers excellent bakeries, supermarkets, green spaces and parking. Importantly, there is also easy and regular transport to Geneva airport, though make sure you know how to get to the Swiss side or the French side for departing flights. For solo foot travellers it is a valuable alternative to access Geneva without a car.Guest review byAnnieAustralia - 8.0

Everything would have been perfect except for the faulty air-conditioning. I suggest you check regularly to make sure that all amenities are in order before renting out the rooms. We had an over-all nice stayGuest review byPhilomenaFrance - 6.0
Geneva has a gorgeous location.
Geneva has a gorgeous location. The surrounding mountains are majestic. The lake is truly beautiful. The old town is lovely and one can enjoy the many cafes. However, I din't feel comfortable walking around the lake. The cafes along the lake were not inviting. Nothing really happens on the lake, which is very disappointing. But the old town is worth seeing.Guest review bylubieUnited States
