El salón, es espacioso. Tiene sofás, sillones y una mesa (amplia) con varias sillas. La cocina está muy bien equipada, que es genial, sobre todo para los desayunos (no hay mucha oferta cerca). El baño es más que correcto. Hay lavadora, con programa rápido. Todo está limpio y ordenado. El responsable (Rafael) es amable, atento y responde rápido a los mensajes: no tuvimos mucho contacto con él, pero nos pareció una persona interesante, con muchas inquietudes. Ofrece tours a los distintos lugares de interés de Naxcivan: nosotros ya teníamos planificado el viaje, pero coincidimos en la casa con otra persona y quedó muy contenta de la experiencia. Internet no estaba funcionando (por un problema en la red de la zona), pero nos dio una solución en cuanto pudo.

We were warmly welcomed by lovely hosts upon our arrival. The house was not only charming but also impeccably clean, providing a perfect retreat for our stay. The housekeeper is a remarkable woman who greeted us with a delightful assortment of fresh and dried fruits, tea, and sweets, which made us feel instantly at home. She kindly guided us to the local bazaar, where we enjoyed shopping for delicious dried fruits and homemade jams. Her hospitality truly enhanced our experience. Additionally, her husband organized a sightseeing tour around Nakchivan and within the city, offering us great value for the fantastic experience. The house itself was exceptionally quiet and pristine—even more beautiful than the photographs suggested. Its location is ideal, as we were able to stroll easily to the city center, immersing ourselves in the local culture and attractions. We highly recommend this accommodation for anyone looking for a cozy and enjoyable stay in Nakchivan!

Mariam was the star of this stay. A wonderful host that shared so much precious insight on Armenian culture, history and traditions. We chatted forever! The property is secluded and quiet which is exactly what we needed. There are a couple of rough patches driving up and the last few meters before the property is a dirt road but don’t let anyone scare you because it’s very easy to reach even with a very low clearance car as our rental. The food prepared for us for both dinner and breakfast was simply amazing. Tasty and earthy and home grown. Too bad we stayed only one night.

Gnishik is literally right at the end of the road, you can go no further, but the Eco Lodge certainly makes the journey worthwhile. The gent who let us in and gave us the keys was very pleasant and helpful and communication before arrival was excellent. It was made clear that the location was remote and that we would have to bring our food and drink with us. This was fine and the shared kitchen was very well equipped. We had a lovely en suite room upstairs with wonderful views from our balcony, especially of the beautiful rose garden in the back garden. We were also lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. There was a problem with the WiFi in the early evening, but it was quickly resolved and worked very well for us after that; not good enough to stream, but perfectly well for browsing, emails, etc. We parked in the drive in front of the Lodge, but there are zero security concerns. If you get the chance to visit, then we strongly suggest that you do. The drive south from Lake Sevan is truly spectacular. The last few kilometres of road were pot holed and slow going, but perfectly accessible if you drive slowly. Overall, this is a wonderful place to enjoy nature and relax and we loved our visit. Very highly recommended.
